Your girl is bizacck in business!! Or should I say back on the blog, because I’m always doing business! I really dislike using the word blog, but y’all get me. If you don’t know why, you can read about it here. Anyway, I’m back, banging and bodying looks, lol. To say that I’m excited to be writing again, is an understatement. Y’all know my love for writing and sharing fashion tips runs deep.
I sent out an email Saturday morning to my HGG Style Crew, informing them that I would be back in effect today. I also gave them a recap of the last 4 looks that I’ve shared on my social media platforms. So, just in case you missed my most recent outfits, you got the full shebang sent straight to your inbox. If you’re not subscribed to the list, I suggest that you get on board! All updates, fashion and style news and insider ONLY perks will always go to my crew. No pressure, I’m just saying, lol.
Without further ado, let’s get into it… Styling this acid wash look was pretty fun! It all started with this amazing jacket that gave me all kind of retro, 80’s vibes. It wasn’t until I found the pants that I knew that the vision for my look was going down completely. I love the different tonal change in the acid wash of both Pieces because it gives the outfit depth. Anytime that you are styling a look that has two pieces of the exact same color, texture or print, it actually tricks the eye into believing that you are slimmer and taller. Your eye will travel up and down instead of focusing on separate parts of the body. I didn’t mind the break up of the tonal change because I don’t obsess over finding the perfect match for my outfits, so I was completely ok with the effect that it gave.
Getting a little deeper into the look, it wouldn’t have been right to just pair it with a basic tee. No, no, lol. I had to find the perfect vintage style tee to enhance the feel of my vision. I scored this Coca Cola brand, cropped sweatshirt at Target and feel in love with the design. You can’t see in the picture, but the hem of the sweatshirt is actually elasticated and it scrunches to fit perfectly at your high waist! For accessories, I went with these yellow tinted, aviator sunglasses and kept it simple on the ears with a basic hoop earring. I finished my look off with a pair of red pumps and after collabing with my photographer, found the perfect place to bring the whole mood full circle!! I think it turned out pretty dope, if I do say so myself. But, you know, you can tell me what you think 🤔
