Is it Fall? Really? Omg, but it’s so hot though, lol. Some of the mornings here in Houston have actually been quite pleasant, but as the day settles in, so does the humidity, heat and my hopes of really wearing a real Fall wardrobe. It’s cool though. I’m not trippin’ at the moment because I’ll still be sporting my Summer ish until the weather cools down a bit and of course Faking my Fall Wardrobe like a pro! I haven’t shopped for my Fall wardrobe at all. I haven’t really shopped for anything for that matter, but by the looks of it, the weather hasn’t switched gears. So, for styling options, I’ve decided to carry out some of my Summer styles, but focus on a more neutral color palette. I’ve been digging muted colors lately for some reason. It could have a lot to do with my mood as of late, but…(shrug shoulders)…Can we talk about this dress though? I purchased it on super sale for $25 and I was pretty ecstatic when it arrived. It’s really a simple style and it’s just black you know, but black is forever a sexy color and it looks great on everyone. Thigh high splits have always been one of my favorite style characteristics as well.
My plan for this look totally tanked due to the sweltering heat this day, so I kept it pretty simple and decided to add a red obi belt for a pop of color. Since red has become my statement color, and every time I wear it I get compliments, it’s been a quite an easy addition to some of my looks. For shoes, I decided on this red, black and white tribal designed heel to complete the look.

Style Tip of the Day
A maxi dress is a great example piece for transitioning your Summer pieces into Fall. You already have the length for leg warmth, all you need to do is add a layer on top, underneath or both and pair it with some knee-high boots or booties and you’ll be good to go!
