How to Style a Graphic Dress: Eye of the Tiger

Tigers are such amazing and fierce creatures. In the Chinese culture, a tiger is considered to be the king of all beasts, as opposed to the lion, which most of us are familiar with as “The King of the Jungle.”  They believe that this beautiful beast represents power, energy, royalty, protection, generosity, illumination and unpredictability. Aside from their beliefs, the amazing coat of stripes that identifies the tiger, is a print that I’ve fallen in love with. I’ve always been a lover of wild beasts with amazing coats of spots and stripes, hence my love for leopards. The phrase “The Eye of the Tiger,” stemmed from a song called “Survivor” by an 80’s band, which means to have complete focus on becoming the best fighter/hunter. (Urban Dictionary) You may also remember or have heard about this as the theme song from the old movie, Rocky.

This t-shirt dress was such an awesome buy. At $7.99,  I just couldn’t pass it up. Of course the amazing graphic is what made the dress. It was the obvious reason of initial attraction. The back of the dress was a simple grey and the fiber content allowed for the dress to drape and flow perfectly. There’s actually a belt that was designed to give it a bit of dimension, but I ditched it because I was digging the oversized look. I paired it with a pair of strappy black sandals with a thick exposed zipper, my silver cuff bracelet with attached chain and a simple pair of large hoop earrings. A simplistic statement are the words I feel best describe this look. What do you think? Leave your comments below and don’t forget to follow me on Bloglovin’ to stay updated with new posts.
